Much much more. It costs the taxpayers billions to "keep" a president. Trips, security, white house, etc.

Can we afford Trump? What if he has a reunion and invites all his wives, kids and in-betweens. Do we need to dress all of them? He's the only POTUS that is downsizing to move in the white house, fly air force 1 or use the presidential cruise ship. We do have a decent presidential cruise ship?

Would these expenses be any different if a different president was in office? I don't think so

What I want to cut is irresponsible spending which would take some space here to define but we all know it when we see it. We all know that presidents and congressmen/women vote themselves boondogles junkets etc that are meaningless . We all know that many congressmen/women feel they are the elite and worthy ofl their entitlements

The only way to stop all of this is to shrink the federal government and that is not going to happen.

You have the same president, congressional leaders and political candidates right now at war with the 1% while they themselves are worse because they have made their fortunate off the backs of taxpayers and unlike the 1% have not created wealth but have added to our deficit. Washington is filled with scoundrels. The political class only purpose is to create wealth for themselves

You are right. Trump will say "Hey, $20, 000 gowns for wives and daughters are past practice, it's in the rule book." That's the Art of the Deal that makes him great.

Or, he may pay for it himself. After all, he doesn't need the job or the paycheck. And I doubt he will pull a Clinton and steal $20,000 worth of gov property when he leaves office.
