Garage Attic Floor

Looking for a recommendation of someone reliable to install a floor in the garage attic.

Reliable = Someone that will actually show up

As I'm sure you have thought about it, make sure you know the weight restrictions before you have it done and begin loading it with items.

I was going to state the same thing. If the house did not have this flooring installed when the house was built, it may not be designed for the additional load.

Our house had it when we moved in so far so good

Another vote for Tim Miller. However, not sure why you don't already have a floor in your attic. I'm sure it depends on what kind of home you have, the designers have floored garage attics and I know the patio villas have a very small place that can be floored by the owner.

When Tim Miller installed our attic stairs in 2011, his price included about 100 sf of attic flooring in our CYV, which is not done by TV. I think it was about $290 total and that was with aluminum stairs. One thing he won't do, is to fool with insulation. So if you want insulation in your attic, buy some rolls and put it down yourself before Tim gets there.

I would highly recommend Tim 'the toolman' Miller, the best handyman around and he brings his own helper. If you want to enlarge a closet, let Tim double your walk-in closet space. He raised the existing wire shelving in our walk-in about 2 feet, patched and painted the old holes. Then installed identical shelving below, essentially doubling our rack space. Materials and labor all for $150.

Unless your trusses are designated specifically as "attic trusses" they are not designed to carry additional weight. Check with warranty as they have the truss design drawings for your home.
