Click on Quick Links and click on Today's Posts. Most of them should be there.

[QUOTE=zcaveman] Click on Quick Links and click on Today's Posts. Most of them should be there. Caveman, thanks for the tip. The posts are there, but they're all "grayed out" so I don't know which ones I've already read. (And I can't get multiple quotes to work, either. I'm not smart enough for the new website. I'm not smart enough to change channels on the new television either, but that's another story...) |

Caveman, I'll give it a try! Do you think I can do this even though I close internet explorer? Now that I'm in the Villages, I can't seem to use TOTV with my AOL. I have to use internet explorer or it just won't work. It worked great with AOL at home, but I can't use it here. I don't know why. |
OK, I tried staying logged on, and it doesn't seem to work that way, either. I came back, and only 12 posts were showing. When I logged off, there were 2 pages of unread posts. I know I haven't read many of these, but they were all grayed out anyway. sigh.

This happened most of the time I used computers away from home.
When I was in the Tampa Bay area from Thanksgiving through the 10th of December, almost every time I checked TOTV and looked for new posts it said there were not any.
Maybe, this happens when you log out from your home computer or use a computer away from the one you usually use? I had a hard time finding computers around my old house in the Tampa Bay area as so many of the public libraries around Oldsmar/Ozona/Palm Harbor are being remodeled and are thus closed or have very limited services. |
This never happened with the old system so it is some function of the new one. I've tried everything I can think of with no luck so I've just learned to deal with it.
I used to make sure that I did a refresh on the main page after i was done and that works if you get back within 24 hours. But nothing is consistent. |
Thanks Tal & Russ & ZCaveman & Diskman. I'll keep trying, but it makes no sense to me. This is the same laptop I used in Utah; it worked fine on the road trip to Florida. Now that I'm actually here, it doesn't want to work correctly. :Screen_of_Death:
