Axis 360

Just wondering if anyone else was having trouble getting into axis 360 to read their ebooks from the Sumter County library.

it's an annoying App.. sometimes it will take more then 5-10 mins to open.. and this is just to read my stuff not to browse. I use it with my iPad.. and it is so annoying that I have to reopen it every time I want to read.

There was another update lately. Had to find the library again...which is always a pain...then login again...then have to go to My Stuff to find the book I am reading. Then click on the book to get to where I left off. I like Overdrive so much better. Just click on the app and it opens your book to its current reading position. I guess you do "get what you pay for"

I was having similar problems with the Axis 360 app. I went to the Sumter County library on Powell road and 466a and they downloaded the latest version of Axis 360 on my Kindle Fire HD No problems now, make sure to get the download from App Store not website....I'm told it makes a difference!

Mine is working now so must have been a glitch at their end

I also was very unhappy with Axis360, especially because it skipped pages. I learned to go forward 2-3 pages and then back up; the missing page then appeared. When I accidentally cracked the screen of my tablet on the corner of a table, it became totally useless.

A new Android tablet came with the newest Marshmallow OS. I also updated to the newest Axis360. Since both changes happened concurrently, I don't know which solved the problem with page skipping and other problems, but Axis360 is now working like a charm.

Woolman44 mentioned "no problems" since an update to the latest Axis360, so perhaps that is what made the difference for me too. The update is certainly is worth a try for those continuing to experience problems.

Am having a multitude of problems with AXO 360 - finally made an appointment to meet with the library tech and bottom line is that this system is full of problems. I would love to go back to Overdrive but you have to join another library system (like Lake County) which comes at a price. I will be completing a survey on line (Sumter County Library System web site) and voice these complaints. Please do the same and encourage others to let the Library know of your dissatisfaction. Thanks

Yes, yes, yes and yes. Very few improvements as of 6.26.16. Last time I went to library for help they were very defensive AND could not fix the problem. This app rates 2.1 out of 5, and was not a good choice to begin with. They claim more book choices, but that has not been my experience. Give us back Overdrive, please.
