What do YOU want for Christmas?
I know, the end to the bad economic situation and world peace and a cure for Cancer, because all of you are kind caring thinking people. BUT if you could receive something valued at around 50 dollars....or less...What would it be? Maybe it will reach the ears of Santa.
I would love to get, without dropping hints, the new book, MRS.ASTOR REGRETS. How about YOU? |
Im hoping Santa brings me "HOOKER EARRINGS" this year. I saw them at the markets of Marion and have wanted a pair ever since. They hook into the ear well and are for people who cant pierce their ears. They have the pierced look and are BEAUTIFUL!
So I told my hubs, I told my kids, I told my dogs and I told Santa. something tells me im gonna be a happy camper on X-mas morning! I just wish they would change the name!!! |
...For my house to sell at asking price so I can move to TV and be a frog with the rest of you!
Am I asking for too much? |
Good health in our family.
|
$50 or less??? Let me get back to you on this one. Hmmmm.
|
Yeah I thought about it....we just can't sell our house for that little, and that is all I really want.
Realistically a book on how to draw Fairies, & Dragons would be nice. |

Our family (the adults) gave up buying gifts for each other years ago- we decided that we already had enough things! So... for Christmas I would like my friends and relatives to donate money, a new toy or food to charity. I take the money I used to spend on gifts and put it to good use for others who have very little (especially kids as they have no control of the family circumstances they are born into).

Colleen,
I think thats wonderful, spoken in the true spirit of Christmas . Your right, we all do have so much , it takes so little to help those less fortunate then us to have a happy holiday. Thankyou for the inspiring post. |
What I want for Christmas is to spend time with my Granddaughter. We will be going back to Va to spend a couple of weeks during the Christmas/New Year Holiday. My one and only grandchild is Savannah--she will be 14 in Jan. We have so many "traditions" that I HAVE to continue to meet--even though we moved to the Villages in Oct 2007. We always do the Salvation Army Angel Tree--have been doing so since she was around 2 years old. We pick an Angel and spend so much time together shopping for our "Angel." We make Christmas candy/Cookies---she was so upset when she heard that we were moving away and one of the things she asked was "how will we make our Christmas candy/cookies." I reassured her that I would ALWAYS find a way. These family traditions are what I want and need each and every Christmas Holiday. Nothing monetary---just time with family and friends.

I truly understand. I am so grateful to be here this month with our two grandchildren, Colin 16, and Graylyn 19. That is what it's all about.
|
HOWEVER, just for fun, back to presents you might wish for ....not terribly expensive.
|
what do we need when we have most everything at this stage in our lives?
First and foremost, good health.
What do I want materially? Hmmmm that's a toughy! Well now, this is a few $$$$ more than $50, but both hubby and I would like the new KINDLE. Impossible to find before Christmas, so we'll delay our purchase until after the holidays for that one. We usually don't go big for holiday gift giving; we give gifts at no particular event, but for the sake of giving and bringing sunshine into our lives with a lot of love. HAPPY HOLIDAYS barb & bill |
