Beware the chair guy

The recliner repair guy who advertises in the paper has had three opportunities to do business with us. He came to the house once about a month ago to fix the chair. Said he didn't have time that day but would get back to us. He has scheduled a time three times since and I have yet to see him. Each time it has involved waiting all day for him to show because he can't give an exact time. Today was the last no show. When I contacted him he told me he would call within the hour to give me a time for tommorow. Needless to say, I haven't heard from him. Guess business must be exceptional because he sure isn't interested in customers.

We have noticed this to be a FL trend!!

We hired someone to put tile floors in....and they never showed up when they said they would....so we hired someone else....and they did a much better job than we could have hoped for....

They made some good money (worth every penny) and we liked them so much we had them do our granite counter tops as well....poor company that lost our business!!! I guess you have to show up!!

But we are getting used to it....kind of slows us down a little....

I don't know how much it would cost to repair a recliner, but you can find really affordable new recliners at Babettes Furniture in Leesburg. We ordered two small recliners in two different prints to go with our colors for less than nine hundred dollars total. And they are the kind that don't look all big and poufy and yell out. I AM A RECLINER!!! We are very pleased.

Cassie,
who did you eventually use for your granite?

Anyone else have any luck with this guy??? I called him and he said it would cost $45.00 for the service call and they would take it off the total bill. I told him I would get back to him.....wondering if it is even worth it. Would appreciate any feedback if you have dealt with him. Thanks

Same or similar experiences here too with contractors. Be sure not to give them any upfront money. Maybe they think they can do this to seniors or just have poor business sense.
