Attention Miata Owners

Coming to TV for Feb. & Mar. with our 07 Miata....assuming I can get it out of the winter weather in Ontario, Michigan & Ohio. It seems there is no Miata club in PV but I see from threads that some people do have 'em (the cars). If anybody is interested in getting together for a short cruises, ice cream runs, or just generally socializing please drop me a line with contact info and I will get in touch once we arrive. We are renting at 308 Juarez Way in Rio Ponderosa for both months so please feel free to drop by with your car.

Dave in VERY snowy and VERY cold Ontario, Canada (can't wait to get to PV)

There are quite a few Miatas here. My wife drives an 08. We are origionaly from Western NY, so we are quite familiar with Ontario, eh. See you when you get here.

I have an ancient ('91), beat up, paint peeling Miata that I love with a passion. There used to be a Miata club but it disbanded for some reason. However, it is almost impossible to not see at least Miata a day in TV.

We also have a '91 Miata. We bought it new 18 years ago. Such a fun little car. We'll be bringing it to TV next April. We're thinking of leaving it here and then flying back and forth to Indiana. It will be interesting to see if that's a good idea or not. We tried to join a Miata Club once years ago. The club fell apart about as soon as it started.

Hoosier, the Miata will probably have more fun here than it does sitting in a garage waiting for the snow to melt. Even so, Miatas really shouldn't sit for long periods of time. They are cars that love to be driven.

Oh, I just found another good thing about Miatas. If the timing chain belt breaks, it doesn't destroy the enjoy -- the engine has a failsafe device so that doesn't happen. I was heartsick thinking my baby was now history because the belt broke last week. Towed it to Tri-County Automotive (man, I love those guys) and they said no problem. New belt, tuneup and all will be well. :pepper2:

We're moving up to The Villages on February 1 and have a 91 Miata - the prettiest of them all. It would be fun to meet some other Miata owners.

With respect to the timing belt, I'd be interested to know how many miles were on the car before it failed.

Happy New Year to All

There used to be a Miata club here. I will check the clubs to see if it still exists.

Bygone Miata Club

I ran into a fellow Miata owner at the mail boxes recently, and he told me that the Miata Club folded because the founder, after running the club for several years, wanted to step aside & turn the club over to somebody else. However, like many clubs in TV, he could not convience anybody to step up. Consequently, it folded. We have an '06 Miata that's currently for sale in this forum. If you know anybody who is interested in a great, fun car (as you know), have 'em read our ad.
Thanks

Check out the tvmiatas group on Yahoo. Not much activity lately, but we have done a few things with them.
