It's snowing!

It's been snowing here in lower Michigan most of the day! I am so over it this year! I can't wait to get to The Villages! At least it's not sticking to the ground.

My son just called me from Indianapolis, where they moved to from Grand Rapids in February. He said it's sleeting there, and he... "can't even imagine what it's doing in Michigan!" Hurry down, Sable99.

The last winter we were in KC (2014/2015) we had 33" of snow; this year they have had 5"; crazy weather. We were so tired of the brutal Midwest winters and the tornadic activity in the spring/summer. Good luck in getting here quick.

Someone in the Historic Section had a Snow Evacuation Route Sign on their front lawn. I'm sure it's funny once you don't have to shovel anymore.

I talked to a friend in Boston Wednesday morning and he said that it was 25 degrees and they had nine inches of snow on the ground. Ouch!!

When you get to Florida you won't have to worry about using that dreaded 4 letter word, unless your talking about another State.

The wife and I are from Michigan originally and still have family there. Even we, who were born and raised in it, cannot fathom how people live with snow. We moved to North Carolina 18 years ago and the little bit of snow or ice we get once or twice a year has become enough for us to have long ago decided to retire further south. Now we have a house in The Villages and can't wait to retire to it and say goodbye to snow and ice forever. Counting down the days!

We are in southern Michigan near the Ohio border. Luckily, yesterday's snow didn't stick. We had rain, sleet and snow in one day! Compared to our last two winters this has been an easy one. Only a couple big snowfalls (over 10 inches) but it has been really cold.

Northern Michigan got hit yesterday with whiteout conditions around the Mackinac Bridge. We talked to my aunt in Traverse City a few days ago and she had a foot on the ground. I don't know how much they got yesterday.

Not all peaches and cream here... going to drop into the 50s tonight, we will be bundled up too :1rotfl:

My last year in the northeast had hurricane Sandy and 3 1/2 feet of snow in one snowfall.

Don't miss that dreaded four letter word, one bit!!!

Opening day baseball game in the snow

Chicago has had snow on and off all morning...big puffy flakes, then little sleety ice pellets, fortunately none of it sticking on the roads. And the White Sox are due to start playing baseball in one hour for their home opener. No amount of money could entice me to sit outside and watch a baseball game today :cold:
