Driveway expansion - need contractor recommendation
We have decided to widen our driveway. The forms have been filed with ARC, and should be approved soon, but I am having trouble finding contractors to pour about 200 square feet of new driveway.
I looked at the contractors section, most are involved with painting and such, but not actually installing. I called T&D, a 3 week wait for just the estimate. Called the contractor that did the birdcage, essentially no reply. Called 1 or 2 others, and no apparent interest. I also tried searching the site, and did not get suitable results. So if anyone has experience with a contractor doing a relatively small job, and your were satisfied with their work, please let me know. Thank you for your help, VT |
I would wait for T & D.

I used Robert Roby to expand my back patio. He did an excellent job. |
Did you try Robert Robey, who advertises in the Daily Sun? He did an 8x10 patio for us some years ago. It is still in excellent condition.

I used Alex Mellado of Sun Country Foliage (last year). 352-459-5907 He expanded my driveway.

So far, I have replies indicating Robert Roby Concrete, and the above. They will get called Monday.

It is nothing personal trust me they all want your work. They are bombed with work rite now and getting the material early in the season may not be easy as they are busy now also. Don't forget....no tipping before the meal...a quality contractor would never ask for more than 10% as a down payment. I would give them that much the day they start. 40% when half way done and the balance when fully completed. Did I say fully?

you always can do it yourself.......or shall I say never again,
with two young helpers it was the hardest work I ever did. I only chose the DIY because the contractors don't call back or show up, I had my pool being shipped had to have it done. You can drive down Morse and catch a contractor perhaps also, it is almost a fill in job for these guys. Oh if it helps your taget price is $4-$4,50 a sq ft |
