Irrigation System help

I'd appreciate recommendations of an individual that can "tune-up" my irrigation system. Probably need a few new heads, maybe a new one added in the line (landscape beds added after the fact are blocking spray distribution), etc.

NOT Massey - I've seen them at work!

Another vote for Jim...only person / company I would have work on my system.

My vote goes to Joe Tucker Irrigation. He's a pleasure to deal with, professional, on time and knows his stuff as well as any others. (352) 430-5615

Used Jim, and he was great, even discussed the changes to the water bill. I had the irrigation system reviewed after a major landscaping job. He found problems that would have lead to the death of our nice new palms.

Jim is THE BEST!!!!

I've used both Jim and Joe, and found them both equally competent. However we found Joe more to our liking. Jim at times can be verbose, and somewhat arrogant or condescending. Joe was supposedly trained by Jim, and we found him easier to deal with. Joe gets right down to business with no attitude. They both charge about the same.

Jim's the guy

Jim may be good, but be sure to ask about cost. Jim charged me $35 for replacement of sprinkler heads that sell for $13 (w/ tax) at Home Depot. That is not unreasonable if you have 1 or 2 replacements because of Jim's travel, etc. However, if the number of replacements is 15 like I had, the $22/head for labor can get pretty expensive. My bill was $520. Whoever you decide to use, I would ask for a more appropriate breakdown of cost that includes separate line item for travel and inspection (to determine # of heads to be replaced), and then a more reasonable labor cost per head replacement that takes about 5 minutes

we use Moses Irrigation he is a very nice young man who has found all our problems of leaks and broken heads and has not overcharged us. he has come usually on the day we call him. he is a smaller company but we really like him.

Re Jim's charges...when he was out 2 weeks ago, it was the 1st time I had used him. He did a complete system evaluation that costs $25. He then showed me an itemized estimate of what needs to be replaced and the cost of each item. After I OKed this, he completed the work. Final cost was exactly what we had discussed. Jim's honest, reliable and efficient.
