R.I.P. Marlene Radford.

Marlene was a frequent visitor to Doggie Doo Run Run with her pooch the very smart and sneaky food thief the Basset Hound-- Semper Fi. She will be missed.

RIP. A very nice lady.

I enjoyed talking to her at Doggie Doo Run Run. Her husband never came because Marlene said that Semper Fi was just too protective of him. Maybe, he let Semper Fi get away with more food stealing. She had some great stories about how Semper Fi would trick her to snatch her breakfasts.

I did meet the husband one day when I had to take Sport in for one of his heart murmur exams at Buffalo Ridge Animal Hospital.

I'm so sorry to hear that Marlene passed, RIP.
I hope her husband continues to take Semper Fi to DDRR.

Marlene told us about Affiliated Vet Specialists in Maitland; she had taken Semper Fi there.
Biggins had prior unsuccessful surgery at a Surgical Clinic to remove a large tumor from his mouth
- it grew back a month later.
At Marlene's suggestion, we took Biggins to AVS in Maitland where a very skilled Vet Dentist removed the tumor.
Four years later, he is just fine. Thanks Marlene.

Semper Fi missed a few weeks away from DDRR because of that injury. She/he seemed OK though the next time I saw them at DDRR a few weeks after that.

It seems like Semper Fi is showing up at Doggie Doo Run Run.

Good to see the food thief out-and-about.
