Ice dispenser repair needed
 

The ice dispenser on my GE refrigerator stopped working....Ice is made but doesn't come out. Can anyone suggest who to call to get it fixed?

The original GE that was in our house when we bought it pre-owned pulled this routine on us. So we tried leaving the dispenser light on, and just doing that warmed things up enough for the ice to come out. We did that for a little while, but eventually decided to replace everything with stainless so we never did know what the real repair for the problem would have been.

Try turning the ice maker off for 24 hours.

Thanks I'll call Rick Beck. We've defrosted/turned the darn thing off and it still isn't working. Don't want to invest a lot in repairs as the frig is 6 yrs old so I don't expect it to last much longer.

No it wasn't shooting out the ice. He fixed the auger
