just closed today
 

We are so excited. We just closed by mail today on our Villa in St. Charles (hortensia villas). We will be down on Monday to get the keys and spend a week. We will sort of be camping out as we are not moving furniture in until June when I retire from the school system. We bought beds for the guest room and am bringing patio furniture to sit on in the living room and minimal kitchen stuff. Husband will be back in Feb to paint and lay a bamboo floor. We will spend next week exploring around and getting acclimated. Can't wait.

I retire from the school system this coming June, too. Welcome to The Villages!

Won't it be fun to get situated and moved down here for good? I've had enough of the flying back and forth during break times and am ready to put down my stakes and call The Villages home.

Have fun getting situated and I hope to meet you once you and us are all settled in...whether it be in 6 months, 1 year, or another time.

some of us met barry and his bride at the monthly crisper's luncheon, and many of us have met others by setting a time to meet at the clock at lake sumter landing around the time of the evening music...so if you post that you want to meet there, you will probably meet a nice group of people...many of us are new, too, and look forward to making new friends....congratulations!
