Since we are still wannabee's
I was wondering do the TV ordinances allow for the hanging of holiday lights on the outside of a home?:024:

Yes, for a certain period of time...30 days I think.

Look in the albums for Christmas light pictures by Cassie!
One of our youngsters, Cassie, took the time and the considerable effort, and got mighty cold, going around in her golf cart in the chilly weather earlier this month taking some remarkable pictures of the lovely lights in TV. (Which we all enjoyed VERY much!)
I have to remark on her age because I am so old and she is so young. Sigh. I feel like I am older than dirt this morning. |
not sure if there is a restriction on how long you can have the lights up...but check this out and your "can you" question will surely be answered

Christmas decorations
Here is the part of the Sumter County Restrictions that would apply, I believe.
2.15 No sign of any kind shall be displayed to public view on a Homesite or any dedicated or reserved area without the prior written consent of the Developer, except customary name and address signs and one sign advertising a property for sale or rent which shall be no larger than twelve (12) inches wide and twelve (12) inches high and which shall be located wholly within the Home and only visible through a window of the Home. Lawn ornaments are prohibited, except for seasons displays not exceeding a thirty (30) day duration. |
