Lawyer needed

Can anyone recommend a lawyer to re-title the deed of our Village house into our Ohio revocable trust?

Try Michael Millhorn (352) 205-4995. Not sure about what you are asking but he did our trust for us. Worth a call to find out if he can do it.

I use Brett Swigert 357-0770

Mary Trotter 1-352-7245 has done several papers for me.

Do you need a lawyer?

Contact the clerk's office of your county here in Florida.

To re-title, I think all you would need to do is present a copy of the trust to the county office.

Possibly could be done by mail, if necessary.

There is also a small transfer fee.

I will check. Thank you!

Be sure the wording used does not eliminate your homestead exemption, either now or when you become a full time resident .

Your estate and trust documents are probably ok in FL but you may want to redo all documents if you are a FL resident.

Your executor has to reside in FL or be a blood relative. Thus your spouses brother living in Ohio could not qualify as an executor for your estate. Ok for spouces estate.

If the trust is to avoid probate you might want to review if you want to just name beneficiaries on your financial accounts and skip the trust. However the home could be a problem and the trust maybe the way to go for the home.

We were told by a Florida lawyer that our Pennsylvania trust was no good when we became Florida residents.

Millhorn did mine also and it was about $800 a year ago as I recall.

Yes, I recommend them.
