Romance and STD’s: Inside Florida’s wild retirees getaway

The Villages get slandered with faulty info

Romance and STD’s: Inside Florida’s wild retirees getaway | New York Post
then again what would you expect of the NY Post?

Sexy in TV

We all know this is tabloid BS. On the other hand, a great many of we "geriatrics" have or will get one debilitating disease or another. So, give me herpes instead of cancer, okay?:boom:

Old news in article from 2009. The interesting thing about that, though, is:

When we did our Lifestyle Preview Stay here in 2009, our Villages sales rep who showed us homes said that the states from which most people move here are:

1. Florida

2. New York - Long Island.

Why is this being rehashed again ?

Probably just a slow reader. And just learning cursive most likely. ::jester::

Even after seven years this sensationalistic inaccurate nonsense is still being touted?

Sounds like a good time to resurrect the painting of white side lines on the MMPs and who cut down the trees.

Article is from 2009 and it's full of baloney!!!

I hope that all people who live in The Villages, in pairs or not, are living normal healthy lives and that they stay inside the lines of good taste. But they aren't dead yet.

I dislike that anyone thinks this is a huge pickup bar when it isn't and that people outside might think we are a bunch of tawdry folks, but I do hope that they know that everyone is alive and well and golfing, playing tennis and pickleball, bowling, roller skating, swimming bicycling, running, walking, drinking, eating, creating beautiful music and pictures and yes, still having sex.

And there are very few unplanned pregnancies here.

People can find pretty much anything they are looking for.

Fortunately, the vast majority of Villagers bring their brains with them. They had the brains to never get STD's to bring with them in the first place.

Probably not many planned pregnancies, either; which is a good thing because I have heard the hospital lacks a maternity ward.
