Osprey carrying fish to nest on Martha's Vineyard
 

After seeing alemorkam's beautiful picture of an eagle carrying a fish it reminded me of the time in the summer of 2014 where I watched an Osprey family mature and fly away.

These pictures are not beautiful. The day I caught these was gloomy so the colors are bad but it was really stunning to sit there and watch this family grow up. I caught two shots feeding the family...

Mom (or Dad) comes home from shopping, while the other stands guard....

Great pictures. Amazing all the stick they use in making their nests and how large they are.

My goodness what amazing pictures. I like the gloomy sky picture, for some reason I love a grey sky now and then. I love the detail and stand in awe of such magnificent birds who work hard to feed their family just like we did.

I thought you were just another pretty face AJ. Silly me.
