Where is my water shutoff?
 

I purchased a Courtyard Villa in GreenBriar last year, and I have yet to find the water shutoff inside the home.

Our home is a Woodlawn model.

I know where the outside shutoff is, but would like to be able to easily turn the water off when we leave for an extended period of time.

I assume it should be in the garage... but my search has turned up nothing.

Anyone out there with a Woodlawn that can help me out?

We also have a 2011 Woodlawn, it was the last Woodlawn built because they changed the name to Durham in the next villa community. On the back wall of the garage directly below the breaker box you'll see a small plastic door. Pop open the door and there is a pipe with a valve handle, just turn that valve the other way.

For future questions similar to this a call to Home Warranty, most of the time can be answered by them.

I tried Home Warranty... after nearly an hour on the phone, it was evident they didn't know. Every spot they told me to look... it wasn't there :)

John (thanks for the reply)... I was hoping it would that easy, but my breaker box is mounted on a block wall, and there is nothing on the wall below it. I really can't believe that there is not an inside shutoff... but I certainly can't find it.

Looks like you have been given good advice.

Maybe knock on a couple neighbors' doors and ask them.

Not sure where your villa community is but in my travels, there are a few villa's that only have the main water shut off outside the front street facing wall of the garage, in the garden area. You may be one of those villa's.

Don't forget to power off the hot water heater when you shut off the water

And ice maker.

I found a whole group of CYV without any inside water shutoffs.

there is a 8" round access panel in front of the house about 12-18" away from the home about the middle of that front side.

When installing our filters it creates an interesting challenge, but what complete a new shut off is provided inside.
