Pelosi Erases Gingrich's Long-Standing Fairness Rules

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi plans to re-write House rules today to ensure that the Republican minority is unable to have any influence on legislation. Pelosi’s proposals are so draconian, and will so polarize the Capitol, that any thought President-elect Obama has of bipartisan cooperation will be rendered impossible before he even takes office.

Pelosi’s rule changes -- which may be voted on today -- will reverse the fairness rules that were written around Newt Gingrich’s “Contract with America.”

She is the epitome' of the worst in politics. Uncooperative polarized, power mad, whats in it for me politician.

Her position, stated many times.....if it has anything to do with or from the opposition.....she is against it!!!!

I think it is ridiculous for the media to even glorify her position by even alluding to the fact she will share the top Dem spot in Washington with Obama. She is delussional and dangerous.....and certainly not one bit concerned with we the people. Hypocracy in persona.

I cannot for the life of me understand how the media and others get all over Bush with his low approval ratings.
Congress has single digit ratings. Last time anything was published it was 9% and falling.
Nancy Pelosi's approval ratings are even lower, yet never ever a disparaging word.
How is it possible that the lessor performance is barely ever mentioned???

For example.....what ever happened to the energy independence she and her Congress were going to do something about when they got back from vacation last year....remember when she and the gang all left to go play while gas at the pump was approaching $-5 per gallon???

Just one recent example of CONSISTENT non performance and clear signal that we the people are not on her or the Congress' agenda.

The only approval ratings Congresspersons care about are the ones given at the Polls every two years - and over 90% of them always return.... We get what we "settle for"......

I look forward to the day when a comment can be made about ....

No word changes....or red herring bashing....or lateral arabesque....Pelosi stands on her own demerits.

The point of the post was why is it......single digit....non performers....who the :cus:cares the party.....get no coverage of their incompetence?

How about a discussion of the lack of performance of Pelosi and Congress without a back sliding into the old let's get off the subject by dinging Bush.

I know....wishful thinking.

Or how about page one take all your shots at Bush on that page....have at it.

Did you see her hypocritical interview today surrounded by children....another feel good performance....I wonder if they screened the children to be sure there were no opposition offspring in the group.

I don't care what her party is....she is NOT doing the job!!!!

Keep in mind, should you damage my teeth in anyway, I expect the government to take care of repairs, and should they shatter rather than shatter, then I will be obliged to share all shattered pieces with my fellow countrymen !
