NOT happy about Walmart!

Villager Joyce 05-12-2016 05:19 AM

I am delighted. After putting up with the rudeness and attitudes of employees at P at Colony, I will dance all the way to Walmart. Even if they are equally rude, At least I will save money. In your face.

The employees in Publix at Traverse Plaza are friendly, helpful and never have an attitude. Why would the Colony location be any different ?
Anyway, glad Walmart is coming. Competition is good, Publix is too expensive.

I've yet to receive anything but courteous, helpful service from Colony Publix employees. I shop there at least once a week. I also use Winn Dixie at Pinellas, mainly for the seafood since I feel they have a better selection. As far prices, I think Publix and Winn Dixie are both expensive. Let's hope one day Wegmans makes it's way down here.

:agree: Couldn't they attract a store a little more upscale ?

You don't have to buy clothing and accessories from Walmart. Check their prices on common things like coffee pots and food and annual flowers and office supplies.

Their corporate buyers have enormous buying power to get low prices for the consumer.

Too many people are Walmart snobs, quite possibly because they see a lot of people who don't have a lot of money shopping there. That in itself is a good thing. They do have low prices.

Gracie, always frugal.

That said, I love shopping for food most of the time at Publix...and Winn-Dixie for cookies. Wonderful cookies. The staff of life.

But Walmart has good glazed donuts, and cheap too.

Four shows and 25 performances will highlight the first season at The Studio at Tierra del Sol, a 99-seat theater which launches in November with “Next to Normal,” a play about mental illness.
This is from the article about the Night with the Developer from the site that must not be named about a new theater explained by Whitney Morse.

Well, if you go to a Walmart take your camera. I love the Walmartians and PeopleofWalmart websites showing photos of Walmart shoppers.

That being said I shop at Walmart myself...

I don't think it is about "attracting" if a business wants to come, they will come.
BTW what is upscale....to you?
