Best doctor in The Villages Health?

Ok folks, I need everyone to give their input!! If you are, or have been, a patient of The Villages Health please tell me who you think is the best? What doctor will LISTEN to your concerns and help? Not just say "well, your labs are normal" Thanks in advance :)

What centers are you closest to? Then call and see who,is taking new patients. Maybe some have, but I have heard only good about all,of the docs. We go,to Colony. My husband is very impressed with Dr Jordahl. I like Dr Ollivarre. A friend goes to Dr Riley at Sumter and really likes him. Everyone seems to like their doc. If a personality conflict , easy to change. Go to the Villages Health Website. You can see and hear them speak.

I have no way to compare, only have gone to 1 PCP in Villages Health, so cannot answer your question. As stated above you may not be able to pick a doctor, as some may already be at capacity. Also, if you are new to the health care system, you must be a member of the villages ADVANTAGE plan, as they are not accepting conventional Medicare supplemental plans.
Hope this helps.

I do not know how the average resident could answer such a question. Beside which the best of the best can't operate at optimum 24/7/365 its just humanly impossible

I don't think the o.p. was looking for the answer from just one of "the average resident"s.

Many will opine, and eventually, certain names will come up again and again as being a doctor who is excellent, by numerous consistent reviews. Likewise, doctors to avoid will come up repetitively, too. But from what I see, I and many other are extremely pleased with all or most of the TVHealth primary doctors and the specialist referrals. I'd be surprised if names came up of drs to avoid there.

The best doctor to go to is the one I go to of course....:)

goodtimesintv: I understand and agree. However I have been witness a number of times to those "s/he is the doctor that other doctors go to" and find that the recommended doctor failed . Its just human nature so when one makes such a recommendation it always has its limits. The cause of such failures is something a pedestrian cannot and should not judge. it has however made me very cautious as to who I rely on medically

So the consequences for such recommendations can be subtle until the reckoning occurs.

I have gone through three doctors in five years and finally have found a great doctor with all requirements. Its Dr, Nguyen. Un fortunately we are leaving the Villages Health care because of enrollment restrictions.

I have found TV Health Care system excellent.

Your first appointment last an hour. All questions are answered and a printout of what concerns you expressed and recommendations are given to you, upon checking out.

One could always access their health portal for blood work before seeing the doctor and discussing anything that didn't come into the acceptable range and what that entails.

I go to Dr Rosenblum at the Santa Barbara facility and I think he is excellent! Everyone will like their doctor and most people are very happy with the level of care they receive at the Villages Health Care system.

BTW - There will be isolated instances of complaints on TOTV and things not done to one's personal satisfaction.

We live near Mulberry Grove and we both See Dr Michael Wald. He listens and is a very compassionate person. He retired to the Villages and continues to practice in the Villages Health system.

We have not been allowed to go to the Villages Health because they don't take our very good company insurance. Do you go there or work there?

What great choice!!!! You would have a hard time finding a more knowledgeable, compassionate, dedicated physician with a great sense of humor (except me, of course:1rotfl::1rotfl::1rotfl:), although he has often told me I'm not as funny as I think I am.
He does have one deficiency---his golf game needs improvement! Sorry, Saul--I've tried to teach you for 30 years , but alas I failed.:1rotfl::1rotfl::1rotfl:
