Cable, Internet and Landline

I'm finally in TV! I'm trying to decide which Internet and cable provider to go with. My home is south of 466A. Since I will be renting my home part of the year I will also need a landline.

I'm leaning towards Brigihthouse or Comcast. I have the name of the Brighthouse rep but I can't seem to find the number for Tom The AV guy. I've read on TOTV that he can help with Comcast.

We have Comcast in Michigan. I like the service but hate calling Customer Service.. But I dread getting Comcast in FL again as my mother had nightmares with them when we had two accounts before. For some reason they went by her name and not account numbers. They always got the two account confused.

What speed internet should I get? I plan to have 3 TVs, and the three of us all have iPads and laptops.

Does anyone have Tom the AV guys number??

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Tom's number is 352 388-1677. He is great to work with.

Get Tom' opinion on a MagicJack Plus that can plug into your wireless router to use as a home phone. The cost is much less than the traditional land line that we were used to. Even when companies tell you they bundle the package and the phone is included, you can say no to the phone and pay less for the TV/internet service. We have unlimited calls to anywhere in the US AND Canada. Good luck and welcome !!!

When we first moved to the villages, we made the mistake of using comcast, they charged use to hook up to a new pre-wired house. a call to their service center was the straw that broke the camels back.

We current use Centurylong, Prism

If Brightstar was available in our area we would use them, had Brightstar when we were in Palm Coast--first class service.

We are satisfied with Brighthouse. We had Comcast before who began charging us for a modem we owned. It took months to resolve that problem and get a credit.

I have used two Magic Jacks for both my home and business phones since last January when we visited the Villages. Brought it back with us and are now going to use it in our new home. Very reasonable and works great.
