I thought TV had a curfew. Lites out bunk time at 9PM - 9.30PM at the latest. LOL :jester:

Very Rare I loose signal, unless heavy rain. Then I turn the tube off anyway. :spoken:

It wasn't the usual pixelated freeze, but husband solved it by disconnecting the power source and restarting.

I had no problem Friday at 10 - 11 pm..if rebooting equipment worked you may need new equipment. After 8 years and a small problem I asked for new stuff and got it.

Most (all?) of these boxes have some form of an operating system. I have found that my boxes occasionally get themselves in a non-responsive state and need to be rebooted. If it is requiring a reboot frequently (say weekly or monthly) then you may have a problem. Once every 6 month or a year is not unheard of. My Roku boxes need to be kicked about every 6 months.

I've never had that problem and have been with Directv since 2008. A general rule is anytime you do run into a problem that won't stop, reset the box. There is a small door on the right front of every box, I've had regular HD and now a HD-DVR, the small bedroom type box will be on the side. Push the red button and it will take about 2 or 3 minutes to run through a satellite check and systems check and it always seem to work fine afterwards.

Rebooting would resolve some problems.

As far as the weather, possibly very heavy clouds covered your area. I agree that most heavy storms will drop coverage for awhile whether one has Dish or Directv.

I was watching a pre-recorded program, so I wasn't affected.
