Mrskkb,

Dr. Camelita Eburuche comes highly recommended, but I have not actually used her yet.

She is in the Mulberry Grove plaza

I chose Dr. Nalini Yelamanchi as my primary care doctor. Was also looking for a female and was limited in my choices as dictated by insurance.

I've only seen her once but I really liked her. She was very warm, friendly and caring. Did not feel rushed, she joked around and put you at ease.

Based on my one visit, I'd recommend her.

I have been seeing Dr. Clarissa Abrantes. She is with Premier Medical Assoc. at Lake Sumter Landing. She's a very caring doctor.

female doctors

love all the recommendations but i always prefer a Dr whose name i can actually pronounce!! LOL !!

graciegirl 01-17-2009 11:30 AM

I don't care about gender or pronunciation of name. My husband Sweetie insists that I choose M.D.s based on their distance from where we live, the greater the distance the finer the doctor.

I like Dr Eburuche. She is in the Sharon Morris Building near the hospital. Dr Eburuche used to be with the VA before starting her practice here.

Avista,

I agree wholeheartedly.... after my primary doctor left the area, I switched to Dr Eburuche based on your recommendation and a few others I saw on TOTV and Va Trace website. She is personable, thorough, accessible, proficient, a great listener, and a great communicator.

Novelchick....don't assume by the name alone that the doc will be hard to understand. Dr E speaks better and clearer english than most people I know and she is US born and educated.

Unfortunately when I called to get an appointment with Dr. Eburuche they informed me she wasn't taking any new patients...bummer.
Dr Abrantes.......I didn't like...she was distracted...hardly felt like she was listening......
So, I am looking for a female Gynecologist for the feminine issues, and to a male doc for the rest of the medical issues.

I really like Dr. Eburuche. Sorry to hear she will not be taking new patients for those of you interested in a great female internist. While I truly like her I think this year I will look for a gynecologist. Last year I had her take care of my entire body, however this year I want to return to seeing a specialist. In PA I had an internist and a gynecologist. Question - Do most woman have both or do most see just one doctor for everything?

So true Villages07 - you cannot go by a name.
