I will miss Bamdi

This picture was taken last evening in Ohio of a two day old fawn. We will miss these moments when we permanently move to the Villages.

Oh, how darling! I can see why you would miss moments like this!

While I miss being down in the Villages, I didn’t miss today’s pictures of them growing up.

FL deer are very few and far between. I've lived in FL for a total of 12 years, in 3 different locations, and have yet to see one. Bear, on the other hand, are a fairly common sight. Several have been seen in and around TV. Bigfoot is frequently seen around the 3 squares. Apparently the sightings are somewhat dependent on your ETOH level. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |
I saw a deer on St. Augustine Beach a few years ago. It was running down the preserve between the beach and the homes.

I got plenty of cute little lizards to fill the void.:beer3:

You probably won't see any deer in Florida. Although if you go to the Keys you might see some tiny Key deer. You will see plenty of baby calves, sometimes colts, and once in awhile a kid or a baby lamb (whatever they're called).

There was a herd today with the rain and cooler temperatures.

Disneys Fort Wilderness is loaded with deer......
Take a trip to Disney and take the back roads.....Deer everywhere.... |
I like the Sandhill Crane and their kids. They are married for life and BIG birds...about four foot tall and are slow and majestic walkers, not easily frightened by people. Sometimes you have to wait to putt when they are on the green.
I have traded the deer for the red headed big birds. I am happy. picture of sandhill crane couple and chicks - Bing images |
