I donate platelets or blood as often as my health allows me. Just reached about 12.5 gallons all told when counting the various donations not going to One Blood as well as those since I started going to One Blood's previous namesake about 9 years ago. This was Florida Blood Centers.

I see you got your iron counts back down, that's a good thing.

Actually that is from August 2015. I cannot scan documents now without juggling computers around so I am just using some of the older documents from my One Blood donations.

I should see how my iron is doing tomorrow when I attempt to donate whole blood.

Mine was 16.6 today and that's doing whole blood. It should bump it down after a while. I will have to see what it is when I go in a few weeks unless we have company.

That is about the highest iron count I have had since I have been keeping track of it. My brother runs over 17.0 but he has hemochromatosis as do my father, double cousin and uncle among others. Hemochromatosis.org - An Education Website for Hemochromatosis and Too Much Iron
