His impeachment trial by the Illinois Senate begins next Monday and he has apparently told his defense lawyers not to show up. He probably figures it wouldn't do any good to pay them for a defense that has no chance of success. He's better off saving the money to pay for his criminal defense when Patrick Fitzgerald finally issues an indictment.

By the way, the law says that Fitzgerald had 30 days from the filing of the original complaint to file an indictment. That period passed on January 9. The law permits one 30 day extension, which Fitzgerald has probably requested. But look for Blago's criminal indictment sometime during his impeachment trial or right after they throw him out of the governor's office.

Boy, talk about Divine Retribution! In my opinion Blago put out bad vibes from day one. Having just left Chicago a little over a year ago, I had my fill of him. He was so arrogant. :yuck: This couldn't happen to a better person! Good riddance is right!
