Spanish Springs Stage
On Saturday evening about 5, Mrs. Trap and I went to Spanish Springs to listen to The 45's. It is a group made up of local talent and are enjoyable entertainers.
However, in front of the stage and on both sides, there basically was no shade and it was HOT. The only shade was in back of the stage area. We could only stay about a half hour due to the heat. I am wondering if anyone else has wondered if it would be possible to have the entertainers face the "back" of the stage - essentially making it the new "front" in the summer months. It seems to me that only a minimal amount of reconfiguring speakers would be necessary. I tried to find an email address or phone number for the Entertainment Dept but couldn't find anything. Does this seem like a plausible accomodation or am I just whistling in the wind? |
Sounds like a commonsense thing to do but that would keep,it from happening anytime soon.

I said this back when they were "redoing" that square. It would make so my more sense to put the sound booth where the bar is on the southwest corner and move that bar to where the sound booth is. For most of the night you are staring into the sun as it sets.
The difficult part of the whole process would be running the cables underground to the sound booth. They had the perfect opportunity to do it back when they had it all torn up. They didn't do it then so I would guess that it's not going to be done. Too bad because it's a no brainer. |
Doesn't the seating at LSL have a similar problem? I seem to recall the stage faces south and all of the seating is open directly in front of the stage.

I'm the keyboard player for The 45s and as I was on stage I was thinking the same thing.
As the Doc said though.....the sound booth is in the front of the stage. |
