Kudos to TriCounty!
 

On Saturday my 7-yr-old VW had its first crisis. I could drive it but it shuddered, the engine light and the ECP light came on. My first instinct was to take it to a dealer, but a friend said why don't you try TriCounty Automotive first? If they can't fix it then you take it to a dealer. So we drove very slowly and carefully up to TriCounty and John, bless his heart, had it fixed in about an hour and for not a whole lot of money. It was some kind of coil, what we used to call a distributor.
P.S. the dealer that I had called at 8 a.m. never even called me back
