Get your head out of the sand

Or should I say some where else. The Orlando attack will show up here one day mark my word. Look what happened Spanish Springs. This is anywhere USA. Be on your guard and carry your gun responsibly and intelligently never leave home without it.

What happened in Spanish Springs? Are you talking about the young man who took a beating and passed away due to head trauma?

This post sounds like you watched the entire Death Wish series with Charles Bronson. There are two very different ways to look at this. Your thinking seems to mirror the NRA's supporting more guns and ammo available with very little oversight will take care of crime. I am not a liberal and probably own as many handguns as you but strongly believe the 2nd amendment has been stretched all out of proportion and has made the United States a shooting gallery. Handguns should be registered, a very liberal stop and frisk law enacted regardless of personal rights, and permitting to carry a concealed weapon be more in depth. None of these would prevent so called "good guys" from obtaining and carrying a handgun. I don't know how in hell getting control over all the handguns already out there in the wrongs hands is going to be accomplished but I know flooding the country with more guns is not the answer. Maybe you're ok with your wife, children, grandchildren, etc all carrying a handgun but that is not a community I want to live in. Just another opinion.

Open carry is bad for business too. I was reading a story where open carry is the law. The restaurant owner carries a concealed weapon to protect his customers and his business. Once customers started legally wearing sidearms business dropped. Seeing the guns does not make anyone feel safer unless it's worn by a LEO.

yeah, one class of people I never EVER trust is a local LEO. Corrupt incompetent idiots. Heck, most cops cant shoot a static target let alone a moving target. I actually (and honestly) would prefer that a CCW former soldier have a gun than a fat lazy cop. At least the soldier will hit the target. :ohdear::ohdear::ohdear:

People who placate cops are pathetic. Cops are pathetic (ususally). I do not however relay these ideas to State, Marshal's, FBI and other actual TRAINED law enforcement who are not incented to "testi-lie" as a part of their day to day goings on.

Just ask the fine people of Marion county.....

Lady Lake cops...lazy as all get out. Takes SIX of them to stand around for five hours for a reported "domestic" where there not only was no arrest, there was no report.

Oddly, I see zero correlation between the two...anyone who can derive any commonalities between Orlando last night and Spanish Springs has had a bit too much of their Memantine.

Again get your head out of some where and face fakes.

Guest 06-12-2016 10:45 AM

I spelled that wrong .Look at the facts.

How would registering handguns save lives? Registering automobiles doesn't prevent drunk driving deaths.

People drive drunk. They crash into another car and run away. That happened here. The police see who the car is registered to and track down the driver. Does this help prevent drunk driving or leaving the scene of an accident? I think so.
Get back to me after you find out what to say next.

With all the handguns already flooding the country it by itself is not a cure all but a piece. As a country we are spending thousands of dollars for each Isis soldier we kill in the Middle East when you add up cost of missles, jets, munitions, soldiers, etc. This morning Dick's was advertising a sale on the same bullets used in Orlando last night for $170 for 420 rounds. That is about 40 cents a round. I don't know what the answer is but think we should start an intelligent and serious discussion without the NRA. IMO

Yeah, once they find a bullet or shell casing all "investigation" stops (for when the cops are not bumbling over their own failures in life). All that TV stuff about specific markings on bullets are only on TV..and only a registered person can drive a particular car...no cars are EVER stolen and or driven by other drivers...

Just today there was a dude (at about noon) in his black four door Ford 500...smoking a crack pipe and blowing the smoke out the window. He was in the car behind me (stopping at ALL the lights that were timed by a typical ignorant govt employee). He finally turned in towards Home Depot...yeah, I am sure he is a safe driver as well.

And, to further prove your are an idiot. MANY times a drunk driver will leave a scene...get away and SOBER UP...thus, DUI charges are futile.

Never mind the weapon of choice, in Orlando for instance was NOT a hand gun. AND, no one will ever know if the situation could have been mitigated had one or two of the people in the gay bar had a weapon. Too bad one of the women did not man up and tackle the guy.

You saw a guy smoking crack. But instead of finding the car in Home Depot and reporting it to the police the license number you let the crackhead keep driving.

The police would have checked the registration and apprehended the driver.

thanks

Florida has no front plates...the cops were probably a thousand miles away, there are three counties in a VERY short distance and I really dont care because he did not rear-end me.

Why dont you run on over to Home Depot on 441 and see if there is a black Ford 500...white guy, early 30's in it...best chance is that possibly he is working at Home Depot. Good luck McGruff....
