Refusal
I was in a car accident in April on 301 wit injuries. After the emergency room visit, doctors refused to see me because I was in an accident. I had to get a lawyer to find a doctor?

Which ER and hospital, I would like to know in advance.

Must be some kind of insurance issues? seems a shame though....treat me now and worry about the money later... the days of Marcus Welby are over.... |
OP to answer your original question, yes you might need to get a lawyer, at least that is what I gather from all of the TV commercials. Unbelievable!!

There are a number of possibilities. Perhaps the docs don't want to fool around with No Fault regulations? Perhaps they do not want to be involved in the going back and forth of an injury claim/lawsuit. Perhaps in their medical opinion the ER care did such an excellent job that no more care was necessary? Certainly a lawyer can always find a doctor who will treat their clients....who knows...the shadow know

Follow up doctors refused to see him.....I do see alot of times my ortho asking if the issue I am having is related to a accident.
Could the followup doctor be wrorried about possibly being tied up in court if injury is accident related? |
It wasn't the ER that was the problem. It was after trying to find a doctor who would see someone involved in an auto accident. I had to get a lawyer to find one.

Wonder if it is matter of medical insurance coverage. No insurance, long wait to be paid for service. If you have medical insurance there should not have been a refusal to treat.
|
Probably because they'd be waiting in court a lot and cannot work when doing that.
They have employees to pay, and many other operational expenses. |
The lawyer will insure that his client finds a doctor to support legal claims. IMO.
