Sumter Landing or Spanish Springs

My wife and I are renting for the month of May with the intent to purchase a home during our stay. We will be in the Village of Largo.

We are wondering what the general feelings are about the differences between the 2 town centers. Is there a difference being near one vs. the other? It seems like many of the new builds are quite removed from either, at least via golf cart.

Thanks for any insights.

What is far away? I am in Hadley. By car maybe ten minutes depending on Traffic, By Golf cart...fifteen? (To LSL) Odell Center is out the back door. Colony is five minutes.

Spanish Springs is a little older than Lake Sumter Landing but their age doesn't show. Like most of The Villagers.

Distance is a no biggie unless you're right next to one and 15-20 minutes by golf cart from the other. SS is more the traditional old world town center and the church is a definite plus. I kinda like LSL better because of the gorgeous lake view, especially at sunset. Bring your binocs and try to spot Sam in her hot tub -- suits optional. :pepper2::pepper2:

I absolutely adore the stroll along the boardwalk in LSL. In May, the sunsets, temp, and humidity should be perfect for a postprandial promenade.

Oh Muncle....how strong are those binocs????? Hey, the economy is bad and chlorine in the pools and spas kills bathing suits. I use them when I have company, though. People looking thru binocs across the water will just think they see a manatee!! LOL

I like both squares. Each have their unique qualities. However, I prefer LSL because it's close and easily accessible to me. That says it all...the proximity, at least IMHO.

I prefer Spanish Springs. Better parking, better restaurants and a longer happy hour.

They are both great! We spend more time at LSL just because it's closer. I also love the view. I do wonder, however, why the happy hour is shorter than SS.

Thanks for the responses. I guess I was wondering if the average age of residents at Spanish Springs was a little older since it has been in existance longer. Since Sumter Landing has most of the newer growth are people there newer and younger?
