NRA Statement on Terror Watchlists
 

Wednesday, June 15, 2016 Fairfax, Va.- The executive director of the National Rifle Association’s Institute for Legislative Action, Chris W. Cox, released the following statement regarding terror watchlists:

" We are happy to meet with Donald Trump. The NRA’s position on this issue has not changed. The NRA believes that terrorists should not be allowed to purchase or possess firearms, period. Anyone on a terror watchlist who tries to buy a gun should be thoroughly investigated by the FBI and the sale delayed while the investigation is ongoing. If an investigation uncovers evidence of terrorist activity or involvement, the government should be allowed to immediately go to court, block the sale, and arrest the terrorist. At the same time, due process protections should be put in place that allow law-abiding Americans who are wrongly put on a watchlist to be removed. That has been the position of Sen. John Cornyn (R.-Tex.) and a majority of the U.S. Senate. Sadly, President Obama and his allies would prefer to play politics with this issue."

How about people with a history of mental illness? What's the NRA position on that?

Since you liberals need to be spoon fed EVERYTHING, try googling, "NRA position on mentally ill", and you will find your answer.

Define "mental illness."

Are you going to have a box on the application that says, "Have you ever been diagnosed with a mental illness?"

You liberals can fish all day long, but be happy that there are millions of guns out there, owned by responsible law abiding folks that are more concerned FOR you than you for them.

You are not going to stop suicides
You are not going to stop gang killings
You are not going to stop terrorists

... by taking away guns. All you will do is have a larger gun free environment open to mass murders.

Why don't you liberals all move to California where guns are "controlled" and there are never any shootings....ha, ha. Or, all liberals move to Chicago where there certainly is the strongest gun control environment and there are never any shootings.

Or, you could grow a pair and purchase your own weapon of choice and take yourself off the potential victim list.

Why don't conservatives that think like you move out of the country since you despise the country as it is and will be for at least the next 8 years. Somalia would be my suggestion.

The problem with your idea is that there are more of us with guns (millions of guns) than you pacifists that would attempt to reason with criminals and terrorists. You NEED us. We do not need you.

Why do you liberals ALWAYS suggest the LAST place we'd go? Somalia? Really? A white guy is going to go to Somalia? Why don't YOU go to Somalia to live with the "people" you apparently love so much? You want them in your neighborhoods, your schools, your work, even private functions. I want nothing to do with them.

We despise what the country has BECOME since it's destruction in the 60s with "civil rights". The decade we stopped being great, stopped being #1, and started the slide into the 3rd world with quotas and affirmative action.

Even though I believe your posts are extreme, to the racist lean, I have to agree with this statement.

Get this through your head, you are the minority. You will run scared just like your brothers in Oregon did. All smoke no fire.

I love my country enough to volunteer and served in Vietnam, Desert Storm and Iraqi Freedom. I believe I have earned the right to criticize idiots that think they are owed something from this country. So..............

Big boys need big toys.

I hope not, I hope "we" finally realize where our future is going and fight back before it's really too late. They're already the majority under age 6, if that's allowed to reach the 30s, we're doomed.

See South Africa, what is happening to white people as they become a powerless minority. It WILL happen here too. They blame "us" for their ills even though "we" brought them the potential to be anything. They just don't have it in them to be successful as a group.
