I'm taking the Auto Train from Lorton Va to Sanford FL
Does anyone know the best route to take to The Villages from Sanford

wejust plug O'dell circle TV into our GPS. Watch out for the bears (for real).

My personal favorite is my Garmin Nuvi.:pepper2:

As you leave the Sanford AutoTrain station, go left (west) on Route 46.

Follow for about 18 miles to U.S.Rt 441 (in Mount Dora).

Turn right (north) onto US 441. stay on this road for about 20 miles. That will take you to US 441 and Rt 466 intersection.

Go left on Rt 466 if you are going to Lake Sumter Landing.

I take the AutoTrain all the time (usually the other direction). This is my route - takes about an hour or so.

When you settle in, we can talk about experiences we both have had at Hood, Taiwan and the RVN eastern shore...

Also, if you have never taken the auto-train before, bring a blindfold/mask (no kidding!) and earplugs. If you are going "coach," bring an extra pillow as well. Have learned this the hard way.
