Two Recent Supreme Court Rulings
The Supreme Court struck down a very controversial Texas law regarding the limiting of abortions in Texas. The law said physicians could only perform abortions if they had credentials at nearby hospitals and this was for the protection of the mother. It was struck down as a prohibited action. It was a 5-3 decision.
Second one was to determine if spouse abusers could have guns. It was a 6-2 decision against letting those abusers to own guns. What ninnies would let spousal abusers own guns? |

Regarding the second one, what constitutes a "spouse abuser?" How many times would one have to assault their spouse before he/she would be construed an "abuser?" This stuff actually went all the way to the Supreme Court? |

As for the second case, it has to do with persons convicted of domestic abuse. One conviction is all it takes to have guns removed from the household. It was a 6-2 decision. (Gasp!). Two conservatives voted liberal! |
