Having lived in Brooklyn for close to 40 years I never remember l&B being on my radar. Maybe it was only people in Bensonhurst,Dyker Heights or Bay Ridge that frequented it but i didnt live in those areas.

There were plenty of good pizzerias around so why travel too far. I think its so called "iconic" status is only from the Food Channel.
