Medicare question?
Here is the scenario.
Spouse #1 turns 65 and is eligible for Medicare. Spouse #2 is 60. Is spouse #2 eligible for Medicare coverage under Spouse #1? Thank you. |
No.

If spouse #2 does not have separate employer health coverage, you will probably be in for some significant insurance costs. My suggestion, contact SHINE, SHINE - Home as they will give you an unbiased answer. Please talk to them first be fore making any decisions, this goes for spouse #1 also. there are significant differences between the villages health care system (advantage / HMO) plan and traditional supplemental plans.
Hope this helps. |
See Medicare.gov for more info.

I would suggest that you go to the BlueCross BlueShield office in Palm Ridge plaza. Very helpful to us.

One has to be 65 to get coverage under Medicare.
My ex wife was never covered under her husband and he was much older. She received Medicare when she turned 65. Please check it out for yourself. |
