Sumter entertainment tonight
 

I was just looking on line at the Lake Sumter bandstand and it appears that nobody is playing as of 5:23 pm. I don't see any chairs or people in the square either. Was the entertainment cancelled at that square for this evening?

Hopefully they saw mercy on the band members and called it off. It's 98 degrees at our house in Hadley. You really can't stay outside for very long. Friends of mine are playing golf in this. Started at 5:00. At least there is a little breeze.

Look in The Happy Paper on page 3 of the Life Style and it says The Pavilion is being updated and the performances are going to be on the grassy area by the lakeshore.

Still too hot for me and Mrs. Trap! Have to drink my Yeunglings at home and put on a "Treasures of the West" CD or some soothing tunes by Vanilla Ice.

I have a feeling that this update of Sumter Landing pavillion is tied to a political candidate visiting soon. Just a feeling.

I played golf Saturday at Bonifay, teetime was 12:44 and we finished 18 holes by 4pm. Just two of us, we would of been finished even sooner but from the 12th hole on, we played behind a very slow foursome. Heat wasn't a problem, when using a golf cart and you fold down the windshield you get a nice breeze when moving. When golf is only $23 you have to take advantage, come October it will be $44 and in January even higher.
