does anyone on these threads know about telling the truth!

Not something they dreamed about the night before.

What a bunch of crap. Tell the truth folks when you post, you will find it refreshing!

I think the bigger problem is - denial. Some people wouldn't know the truth if they were hit over the head with it.

"According to a 2002 study conducted by the University of Massachusetts, 60% of adults can’t have a ten minute conversation without lying at least once. But even that number makes it sound better than it really is; those people in the study who did lie actually told an average of 3 lies during their brief chat. And I know you’re sitting there right now insisting you would be part of the 40% that didn’t lie. That’s what the liars in the study thought, too. When they watched the taped conversations back, they were shocked at how many fibs they had told."

"But before you vow never to trust anyone again, here’s some food for thought: A study by the University of Toronto found that it is actually the most trusting people who are best able to tell when they are being lied to."

Maybe a better question is "Are you trusting?"

I tell the truth...and people call me names.

You might have a point there. Even after Hillary has consistently lied to America, the left still follows her and "trusts" her enough to put her in the highest position in the World. So, on one hand they are very trusting. On the other hand, they can't seem to "best able to tell when they are being lied to." So, I guess it is a conundrum when it comes to gullible lefties. Trusting but still unable to tell they are being lied to.

"Trusting" seems to be a human flaw. We "trust" in too many things we shouldn't...government and religion to name two. I guess we weren't designed to deal with lying psychopaths.

How do you know what they dream about? Practice what you preach.

"YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!.....YOU DON'T WANT TO HEAR THE TRUTH! "

Is there any better than Jack Nicholson?

That is EXACTLY true...about government, religion, race...our worlds are built on lies.

Hi, regarding the truth, I have found (and wish I had a copy where I posted a reply to others) that I would like to see sensible written replies instead of rude and disparaging words thrown out and so it seems that I cannot find the reply, it seems it may have been scrubbed.
If I cannot respond in a truthful and civil manner then the message to me is: Do not do it? A bit disappointing.

I do agree and it is sad, our people who are called representatives do not represent us, they get into office and then with their bucket of lies, just enter into a never ending quest to fatten their net worth. It is there and it needs to be scrubbed, just hope that a major change in gov officials might do that. bbbbb

There are those that make a truthful statement and then there are those that are in denial. If one is in denial, they declare the truth as a lie and call the poster names. It slows down the conversation when you have to screen the baiters and trolls but the conversation is still interesting. By inserting links to the articles instead of just making blatant statements of opinion, it is more difficult, but not impossible for the baiters and trolls to argue.

Personally, I try to limit my caustic remarks to just disparaging the politicians, not the poster. That becomes difficult when the attacker attempts to divert by making it a personal attack.

But, there is something to be learned here if one is to dig down into the subject and ignore the childish diatribes. If nothing else, it is entertaining.

I do the same but I must admit there is a part of me that thinks the poster calling me all kinds of names sees this as a weakness in character or just that I can't think of any names.

And let me add this. "I know names, I have the best names."
