A free day at the beach for TOTV members

Here is something that is really great for our members. Tradewinds resort on St. Petersburg beach has selected Talk of The Villages to make a special offter to Presidents of Villages clubs and some TOTV members. Tradewinds has put together a special "free" day at Tradewinds, including lunch, tour, beach play time and round trip transportation. The trip is all day next Monday, Presidents day and there are no strings attached. Bus transportation to and from Sumter Landing, a tour of the Resort, Lunch and beach time. It's a great offer from a great place. No charge, no strings attached.

They want to introduce the Villages Clubs to their fantastic facility.

Although this is a "Presidents" trip, I'm sure your club president would be open to you going in their place, if you can't. Also, do your club president a favor by calling them right now and tell them about this offer. Since time is short (Friday deadline) Kimberly has invited our members to be part of the group. Call and see if there is room for you.

Several of the Villages clubs and lots of our members have used Tradewinds and have thoroughly enjoyed it.

Day Trip to Trade Winds Resort in St. Petersburg

I just spoke with Kimberly at Trade Winds and she said she had no response so far from TV. Although it will basically be
a site inspection trip, there will be free time in the afternoon. They provide transportation to and from here and lunch. It's a two-hour ride.
Having formerly been a resort property manager, I am anxious to see the setup. It looks beautiful on their website.

Kimberly said the trip is primarily for Club Presidents or any Villagers active
in groups that might possibly be interested in staying there.
She has been to TV several times for travel expos.

Anyone else interested in going?

Sounds great..Is this going to be for one day only, or will it be any time a large enough group gets together?

This particular trip is for one day only. She said there has been such an interest from TV that she wanted more people to get to know them.

It is to promote groups that can get together there for a meeting, a weekend, a week, a girls only trip, etc., etc.

I signed up. I'm co-president of the Cajun/Zydeco Dance Club. They have a c/z dance festival every March in St. Pete and by next year we may have plenty of dancers who want to go. I sure hope they can give a BIG discount. She would like to get at least 10 people. If not, she'll reschedule another time since this was short notice. Sounds like a fun day.

Kimberly is going to decide at 3PM today (Friday Feb 13) whether this offer of a free bus day trip to the Tradewinds Resort (which is very nice) in St. Petersburg, Fl, with a tour, lunch, and free time for going to the beach, shopping etc. in St. Petersburg on Monday is a 'go' or not; right now she does not have enough people to justify sending the van to pick up the Villagers. She will postpone it if not enough people call. So, if you want to go, call her early today!
