Libya who's mistake?

Libya Wasn't Obama's Worst Mistake, It Was Hillary's

Obama described failing to plan for the aftermath of Libya as his worst mistake in office. Now failing to plan for the aftermath of overthrowing a government isn't really a mistake you can make. Even an administration as incompetent as that one did have a plan. The plan, as in Egypt and Tunisia and elsewhere was "moderate Islamists".

And that's spelled Muslim Brotherhood. Khan is a member

It was a bad plan. And the plan only got worse as the political Islamists turned out to be the heavily armed kind after all. And then ISIS showed up.

But Libya isn't Obama's worst mistake. Iraq is. ISIS is throwing lots of parties in Libya, but it's Obama's Iraq policy that gave it a huge footprint and divided Syria and Iraq between Shiite and Sunni terrorists.

Obama signed off on Libya, but it was Hillary's plan. And she pushed it through aggressively. Obama was never enthusiastic about it because it involved military intervention.

He signed off on it. He lied about it to the American people. And he gave the order. The final responsibility unquestionably rests with him. But there's also little question that this was Hillary's little project.

If Obama needs to look around for worst mistakes internationally, he can take a look at Iraq. And for that matter Afghanistan isn't too far off either. But the biggest mistake is still the Arab Spring.

Except like Libya, it wasn't a mistake.

It was a plan that spun out of control.

So today Obama starts attacking them today, he wants to clean things up for Hellery?

Or is he reacting to Trump

Libya is Reagan's fault for not carpet bombing them back into a nomad culture. But, after Reagan bombed them, they were no longer a threat until Obama. Reagan scared the doo-doo out of Qaddafi and made him a timid little girly boy. Obama in the White House gave the mini-tyrant the courage of a cat burglar.

What about the bush years, were they blind? If they would have done their job it would have never come to Benghazi .

They did their job and there was NO Benghazi during the Bush administration. Of course, Bush had two superior SecStates that he could rely on, unlike the politician Obama.

"no benghazi during Bush Admin!" Maybe you need to do some research on all the embassy attacks and lives lost during the Bush Admin! Remember, as well, if W had not invaded Irag, we would not have the situation we currently have! After 9/11 Bush went into Iraq instead of going after the people responsible for 9/11 in Saudi Arabia! And another fact is that W was trying to appease his dad because Bush Sr and Hussien had a history!!

Prior to Benghazi, were there 13 attacks on embassies and 60 deaths under President George W. Bush? | PolitiFact

Blah, blah, blah.....if you know all the answers, why ask a question?

I was state dept during Bush and I was not worried about traveling with my family overseas. The only little worry I had was when I was shot at daily when I was in Baghdad, on loan to the coalition. My quarters was destroyed so I moved into my office, and slept on a cot until time to go back to my family in another country. But, that was a war zone.

No, Libya was of no concern until Obama. You can argue the war in Iraq all you wish. I've been there and I probably have a bit more insight on it than you. Maybe. But, that is for another thread.

The subject is about Libya and was it a mistake. It is easy to Monday quarterback, but in my opinion, we have a bunch of inexperienced amateurs in D.C. that should have hired better and more experienced advisors. Obama is a know it all that speaks to America like they are bunch of children, when his knowledge is on par with those children. Hillary spent her time trying to accumulate frequent traveler miles and did just about nothing, other than pad her pockets. D.C. was and still is a cluster f***.
