Headline Article in Today`s Wall Street Journal :

" Tehran freed Americans as U.S. flew in $400 million in foreign bills to settle old claim " .

" The Obama Administration secretly organized an airlift of $400 million worth of cash to Iran that coincided with the January release of four Americans detained in Tehran according to U.S. and European officials and congressional staff briefed on the operation afterwards .

" Wooden pallets staked with euros , Swiss francs and other currencies were flown into Iran on an unmarked cargo plane , according to these officials . "

Senior U.S. officials denied any link between the payment and the prisoner exchange . They say the way the various strands came together simultaneously was coincidental , not the result of any quid pro quo ".

Just another " head-shaker ". No end to how the Obama / Clinton / Dem Mafia operates .

They always have an excuse. They can justify ANY law broken. The FBI told the administration NOT to do it, then they came back later and said that they still supported the administration doing it.

Now we learn that the plane taking the hostages out was not allowed to leave until after the cash arrived .

While I believe the money was in fact part of the payment for the nuclear deal reached (with more to come) than paying $100M for each of four hostages, I also think the timing of making the first payment was really dumb on the Administration's part.

Although I think they should have made it further apart from the hostage release date, to some of the right-wingnuts even a month difference would have still initiated the conspiracy theory of ransom for the hostages...so it wouldn't have really mattered anyway. :shrug:
