Luxury Vinyl Plank Tile

I plan to have LVT installed in the little home in early October. Armstrong manufactures what I bought from the Floor Shoppe.

Anyone with experiences with this product? I realize it is fairly new compared to laminate, but I'd love to hear from any of you that have it and how you like it

Thank you in advance

We are having LVT installed in our new home that is being built. Before we signed a contract, our realtor took us to see a furnished new house with LVT. When the people moved the furniture into the house, they had seriously scratched to floor and it looked really bad. It appears that LVT is not nearly as tough as ceramic tile.

We had wood floors in our previous house and we always used felt pads on the bottom of our furniture, so we are definitely planning to do that in our new house. When we do our final inspection before closing on our house, we are going to check VERY thoroughly to make sure the workers did not scratch the floor.

We have LVP from The Floor Shoppe throughout the house and love it. No scratches and good for wet areas.

We have Shaw brand LVP throughout our house. Love it. I put bright colorful socks on the odd shaped chair legs where felt pads didn't work. Tbe cat loves it. She runs and slides with her toys.

we have had this in many forms ( wood plank look, slate finish, & Travetine stone look, & although quite expensive it is warm to walk on , easy to care for & wears well (ours has been down in UK for over 10 yrs. The makes that we have are Karndean & Amtico, you can research designs & prices on line

We put it in our home in March. We absolutely love it and everyone thinks it is hardwood. No problems with scratches.

First of all you did good by choosing The Floor Shoppe. We did extensive search on LVP and came to the conclusion that " CORE tec Plus " is the one to go with..The Floor Shoppe does carry this brand..ours will be installed sometime in August...it is on order.

We had quotes from ( 3 ) other companies all with good reviews on TOTV...and the Floor Shoppe is the one we are going with. New baseboards and no quarter round. :plane:

I am a Shaw retiree and know all about the LVT structure. There is a surface coating that will reduce, but not eliminate, scratching. It is basically the same surface coating used on laminate flooring. LVT has taken off in the hotel and retail shopping sectors but is still working its way into the home market.

If anyone cares to share photos of their installed flooring, I'd love to see it.

We used Armstrong-brand floating luxury vinyl plank in five rentals in Montana. Scratches do not show because the pattern goes completely through. In addition as it's floating plank, if there's flooding (dishwasher issue, etc.) you can pull it up, wash it, and lay it down again. It is beautiful and looks just like hardwood but I don't have pictures as the building sold last year (to purchase in TV). Other brands and even other Armstrong versions may not have the same attributes.

That is what I bought, same brand and all. And like an earlier post said, I'd love to see pics if possible.
