The mouse who almost came in from the cold.
 

Monday night must have been cold around Lynnhaven. I was going to put some trash into the bag near our house door to the garage and saw what looked like a brown lizard tail. I lifted up the trash bag and saw a small brown mouse which quickly scurried away.

Later I noticed some of the skirt under the house door had come off in little pieces. The only explanation I could come up with for these dozen plus pieces of rubber was that the mouse tried to chew himself under the door to get to the warmth.

That is the first mouse though that I have seen in Lynnhaven in the immediate vicinity of the house.

My dog almost got another companion pet or much more likely something else to kill and maybe eat like the many lizards we have.
