Who is your favorite American Idol (Season 8) contestant?
 

I am going to have to lump some of these people together to fit in with the TOTV poll number limits.

I have decided to lump the four I think have the least change of advancing further together into the 10th spot. These are Kris Allen, Michael Sarver, Matt Girard, and Jorge Nuñez. I also do not know all that much about some of these contestants.

I agree with your top 5 finalists except Scott MacIntyre would be in mine.
 

I do expect Adam Lambert to be in the top 6.

TAL - I would not have put Matt Girard in the 4 group like that. In my mind he is right up there with Adam and Danny. He won't win but I think he will have a good career. As they mentioned last night a cross between Justin Timberlake and Robin Thicke.

I did not know much about Matt Giraud.
 

Some of my guesses are just based on voting blocs and the like.

It is a rumor on the Internet but it seems like the judges will pick out who leaves from the bottom 3 or 4. At least, that would save the more artistic but less popular people like Matt Giraud.

Anoop Desai could go home tonight though if the judges pick who goes from the bottom tier of vote getters.

Tight season
 

I think this is one of the best cast of singers Idol has had in the top "13". There is some amazing talent ,coupled with amazing stage presence......I think it is going to be a tough fight to the finish.

Last night was really tough...only Michael Jackson can sing 90% of his songs...Adam and Danny had the best renditions. IMHO

I would love it if that is true (the judges pick). At least until the final 6 or so.

The new AI rule seems like a good one.

I still cannot understand how Taylor Hicks one his season. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Idol_(season_5) I liked a number of contestants--McPhee, Yamin, Daughtry, Bennett, Pickler-- quite a bit more than him. He did have a massive number of people in his voting bloc though.

So agree. I still cannot believe Taylor Hicks won. Last night they were right in not saving the two with the lowest votes.
