Straining my memory but I believe I read that planned opening was for spring. This surprised me that it would take so long.

In the Sunday Sun construction news under Bob Evans it said they were setting the trusses. I haven't been by there in a while, so I don't know if it's frame built or block, but once they get it dried in, (putting the plywood and felt on the roof and the windows set), they can get going on the inside. I would think 5 months would be a good estimate from start to finish. I think they broke ground late June, so they are two months into the project so another 3 months, probably they want to open by Thanksgiving.

Trusses were delivered and they started placing them. If they don't have the products you can't work.

Construction management is more art than science. It will get done and before you know it you'll be enjoying the yummy meatloaf and mashed potatoes.

According to the sign out front, the contractor is from Ocala. If the regular builder that builds in The Villages was doing it the building would have been finished long ago and it would already be time to repaint it, so my husband says.

Drove by it about 6:30 this morning and there was quite a few guys working on it.
