Seen in new area in Pine Ridge.

They must be running out of names!

A lot of interest focused on that area it seems.
 

You could join us in Osceola Hills and live on Vertigo or Coward court, or live in Pine Ridge on Manly street.

I wanna live on Heiny. Then I could tell folks to park their heinies. One if my faves is still the intersection of Baldwin and Bassinger. Think someone has some fun with the names once in awhile.

Many of the streets in Pine Ridge tea are named after long time employees of The Villages.

I live on a street with a weird name as well and have wondered if there is a process for getting a street name changed.

Years ago, in Columbia, Md., people living on "Coon Court" were successful in getting the named changed, but I never heard what process they followed.

Running out of names?

How about, "Tuchas Court". :D

Then was this:

Operator: 911. What is your emergency?
Man: My wife had a heart attack. Hurry!
Operator: Where are you, Sir?
Man: On the corner or Sassafras and Eucalyptus. Hurry, damn it!
Operator: Would you spell the street names?
Man: Hang on. I am dragging her over to Oak and Elm.

Years ago I worked in Muncie IN and according to the commercials on the radio, Heiny wine was only sold in cans. They could not afford delivery trucks. As a result, the distributors used bikes to pedal their Heiny's all over town.

For what it's worth: The street you live on can actually affect the marketing of your house so a realtor told me a few years ago. If there is any validity in this, a funny or strange name of your street might not be so funny when and if you go to sell. Of course, this was just the opinion of a well known Realtor. Interesting---but just a thought.
