Please respond to this persons question

As you know, I have sent out a reminder email to all our members about your monthly TOTV luncheon on Friday, March 20. Nearly 8,000 emails have gone out.

In one of the replies, I received, the person (who does not yet live in the Villages) said the following. I would like for our members to provide the reply.

"I am a bit younger than some of the folks and african american, so I wonder if I would be comfortable meeting the folks at Crispers one day. What do u think?

THanks again for the email, and keep them coming!"

Hi Younger Member. I am still a TV Wannabee be and have never met any of my fellow members in person. But I feel as if I know them all and think of everyone as my friend. TOTV members are the greatest bunch of people in the world and make everyone feel like part of a wonderful family. There are no differences between us regardless of age, religion, ethnic background, or anything else. We are all TOTV'ers and that's the only thing that counts. Go the lunch, enjoy the fun, and make tons of friends. Wish I could be there this Friday to meet you but will one day.

By all means go and meet some great people. Some of the older ones will add wisdom and some of the younger will add wit (a little dim at times) and it is really great to put a face and a voice behind the words posted on TOTV. I can't wait for my next visit and hope to meet a few that missed the December gathering.

I don't know how old, or young you are talking, but I am turning 50 in June, and had just turned 49 when i moved here last June 30th, so, am somewhat younger than most. also, am in a non-traditional long term relationship, and nobody cares about either, as far as i know. come to the luncheon, and i am sure you will feel the same way. a great bunch of people, really.........although, kathie might try and hit on you, but, she's really harmless :a20:

Hi,

I am moving to TV next month and have yet to attend a luncheon. However, the people here are warm and friendly to all. I, too, am a bit younger, and people have made me feel welcome. I am proud that I can share a friendship with people from different countries, with different religions and of different colors - that's the best part of life. I hope you go, so you can let me know how much fun I missed.

Kate

Oh, please come to the TOTV Luncheon. You will meet a wonderful mix of people, in all sizes, shapes, colors and persuasions. The only regret I have is that I missed a few of these luncheons over the past year.

WELCOME:2excited:

Questions

Hi..

I'm a relative "newbie" (to this site, that is), but not new to TV. I'm not "old", but I'm not that young, either. How often are these lunches? Do you just show up or sign up? If either, is there a particular section there and do you have to ask for it or what? Sorry to be so dense, but I don't really ooze confidence alone in a new situation. Once I get comfortable, that's a different story. I'm always up for meeting new folks and have made great friends since moving here 5 years ago. I just want to make more friends....I love people and feel that you can always find things of value in all. Thanks.

Just show up at 3 pm tomorrow at Crispers outdoor patio ...if it's cold we go inside. Kathie I or someone will be there to greet you ...just bring your smile and enjoy the afternoon. If it looks crowded, don't run away, we would love to meet you.

The meetings are once a month.

GMONEY 03-20-2009 04:48 AM

Really dont deserve a answer.

But since I am already posting. Dont matter who you are. But if you got that feeling that it does, Please let us know what made you think that it would matter,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Peazoup 03-20-2009 06:50 AM

I am sad that you feel you had to ask that question. Our community encompasses all. When you're here, you're family - no matter what. The Crispers gathering is a wonderful opportunity to meet people and make friends. I knew no one 4 months ago when I first came, but through Crispers and TOTV, I now have many, many wonderful friends. Come!

MMC24 03-20-2009 07:33 AM

I come from a different and maybe an unpopular point of view, I do not go to the luncheons because I like to post on TOTV anonymously. But I do encourage you to move to TV because it is a wonderful lifestyle and all ethnic groups are welcome.

Won't be a the luncheon due to a previous commitment.

Being in TV is the ultimate societal experience - we all make it a great place to live because of our common desire to be out of the rat race and to more appreciate being in the human race.

The only question that matters is.......who buys the first round? ? ?

It's a beautiful day here - always - so come and enjoy!
