Need sizing for a tux rental

I will be cruising soon and would like to rent a tux from the ship so I don't have to lug it around. Does anyone know where I could go to get measured so I can supply the needed dimensions to acquire a tux while on board?
Thanks

Tux size

First reaction: Don't you own a suit that still fits? If you do, that's your tux size.

Second reaction: Maybe your trip is different, but formal attire (a tux) is encouraged but still optional of every cruise I've ever taken. Formal nights are a tactic for (a) renting tuxes and (b) selling portraits.

Third reaction: If you don't own or don't know your suit size, go to a department store and try on one that fits. Don't need to buy it. If you go to Jos. Banks at Sumter Landing, you can be measured and fitted.

Measurements

When you make the arrangements to rent a tuxedo from a cruise line, they will tell you what information they want. You probably an figure it all out at home.

For example, Royal Caribbean asks for the following if you want to rent from them:

* Height
* Weight
* Jacket Size
* Chest Size
* Waist Size
* Pant Rise
* Inseam
* Outseam
* Neck Size
* Sleeve Length

Most rentals have adjustable waist bands, but the inseam length is pretty critical. Do you have appropriate shoes?

Personally, I have always used a dark suit and have felt quite comfortable mingling with those wearing tuxedos. I have better things to do with my money than to spend $89 to $99 to rent a tux.

Might mention the cruise line.
I wear a suit jacket or a suit. No problem.

And on second thought you guys are all correct. Yes, I own a suit and a sport coat and why do I want to spend $100 bucks when I can lug mine along for $0. At the time I thought it was a good idea but in retrospect I've changed my mind. Thanks for all the good input.
