AVAST Firewall
 

Situation: Firewall on will block internet connection and switched off internet connects. Called AVAST Support they couldn't fix it and suggested I buy their support service. The caught me once and the service was terrible.

Problem: I purchased another anti-virus package and was told to uninstall AVAST before installing new anti-virus. The net result was after 4 tries 2 ended in the computer crashing while 2 resulted in the uninstall just stalling and yet when i tried to click off a message read set up running wait....

Question: Does anyone have a solution

PS I am posting from my laptop with the firewall turned off

Avast has an uninstall utility - did you use it for the removal?

As the instructions say this is to be run in "Safe Mode."
